LaTrice Burnette Appointed Executive VP, Head of Music at United Masters

UnitedMasters has appointed LaTrice Burnette as executive vice president and head of music. Burnette will lead the company’s artist services division. She has previously held senior roles at Def Jam Recordings, Island Records, Epic Records, Atlantic Records, and Roc-A-Fella Records, and was recently the executive VP at Def Jam Recordings. Burnette was also honored on Variety’s Power of Women impact list for 2023.

Expressing her excitement, Burnette said she looks forward to driving growth for UnitedMasters’ global independent artist community and helping artists achieve independence while receiving top-level label services. UnitedMasters founder and CEO Steve Stoute praised Burnette’s extensive industry experience and her understanding of marketing and artist development.

UnitedMasters, known for partnerships with artists like Brent Faiyaz and Earthgang, and for developing new stars such as BigXthaPlug, Anycia, and Ekkstacy, sees Burnette’s appointment as a significant move for supporting independent artists.
