100+ New Affordable Housing Project In Rochester

Written by on August 6, 2025

The Rochester Housing Authority is working to preserve public housing options in the city. The nonprofit organization cut the ribbon Tuesday on the new Parliament Arms and Fairfield Village housing projects on St. Paul Street. The $54 million renovation is breathing new life into a pair of more-than 50-year-old developments. Together, the Parliament-Fairfield project will create 103 new modern and energy-efficient homes. That includes 88 rehabilitated units and 15 newly constructed ones, which are all-electric and include energy-saving features like heat pumps, appliances and an air duct replacement. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the latest step in RHA’s Season of Progress, which is an initiative seeking to change the face of public housing locally.
