10 STATES ADDED TO QUARANTINE LIST

Written by on July 21, 2020

Governor Andrew Cuomo says a second wave in New York is inevitable. It’s just a matter of how hard it hits. Now, more than half of America is on New York State’s Quarantine List. Just two new fatalities were reported overnight within the state of New York. Although, one was removed, ten new states were added Tuesday, July 21st which takes the number of states to 31.

Minnesota is now off the list and is no longer a hotspot. The new states added to the list are Alaska, Washington, North Dakota, Nebraska, Delaware, Montana, Indiana, Virginia, Missouri and Maryland. Any state removed from this list can be added again at any time. Delaware had previously been removed for just a week before the numbers once again increased.

New York Governor Cuomo, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamomt and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy jointly implemented the restricted travel list last month. The effort is to slow the spike of Coronavirus. According to NBC News 4 in New York, the restrictions apply to states that exceed 10% daily COVID-19 test positivity rates (10 new cases per 100,000 residents) over a seven-day rolling period.
