In a surprising discovery in Midland, Michigan, contractors found a 34-year-old woman living inside a grocery store sign. The woman had made a makeshift home in the Family Fare sign, equipped with a computer, printer, coffee maker, and other essentials, where she had been residing for about a year. She managed to supply her dwelling with electricity through an extension cord connected to an outlet on the roof. Although she was employed elsewhere, she chose to live in the sign due to her homeless status. The local police, upon finding her, described the situation as perplexing but handled it with compassion, opting not to press charges. They provided her with information on local services for assistance.
