What Drains Your Energy?

Just a quick check in as 2023 is moving right along. Heading into the weekend I wanted to shed some light on things or people that drain your energy.

Our energy is not necessarily something we have to protect its more about understanding it, being aware, and the mastery of our energy. Let’s start by taking inventory on what’s draining it.

In order to be successful in life one must begin with their foundation and that is a healthy YOU. If you are not resting or taking care of your body you may achieve some success but you will ultimately limit yourself in the end. The research and science is there so you can look it up and research for yourself what is here.

Sleep is key, YOU MUST SLEEP do not believe #teamnosleep or people who tell you sleep is for the weak. NOPE! That is simply NOT true. Put it this way, we have continuously evolved as humans for millions and millions of years but the ONE thing that is consistent and has not changed over that time is sleep.

If your energy is depleted one of the results will be damaged relationships. Energy depletion affects your attitude, your ability to think, and your mood which will directly impact your behaviors.

Some other things that drain your energy are a negative environment either at home or work which are the places you spend a significant amount of time. Other examples are trying to control people or situations. Holding on to the past and past mistakes and allowing others to direct/control your emotions. There are many different ways or things that drain your energy those I listed are just a few.

Take inventory this weekend and see what or who drains your energy and then create a strategy to address the “drain” and recharge you!
