Yesterday afternoon, Westchester County District Attorney’s Office announced that they had concluded its investigation into former Governor Andrew Cuomo. Their office was investigating allegations against the former governor made by two women. The first allegation identified as Trooper 1, stated that when Cuomo was in office, she was both a member of his detail and on-duty at his home in Mount Kisco. Cuomo asked if he could kiss her in response to her inquiring if he needed anything. Allegation two stated that the former governor grabbed the woman by the arm, pulled her towards him, and then kissed her on the cheek without consent.
While both allegations have been found to be credible by the DA office, District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah said the fact that they found the conduct concerning, no criminal charges could be pursued due to the statutory requirements of the criminal laws of New York State.
