Quick Recipes: Breaded Baked Salmon

Written by on December 6, 2016

Ever so often I surprise myself in the kitchen. I don’t particularly enjoy cooking but I do enjoy eating so as I’ve gotten older I came to terms with the fact that I have to learn to cook. I rarely follow recipes, mostly because I have a low attention span.  Usually, I just throw together random ingredients praying that it will come out right and last night my prayers were answered. I made this bomb a** salmon that melted in my mouth, omg it was so good. So here’s what I remember I did:

Ingredients

a Salmon

Bread crumbs (like a 1/4 cup or 1/2 cup)

some Parmesan cheese (maybe like 4 tablespoons)

Thyme (just use the leaves not the whole stick lol)

Garlic Salt

Salt

Pepper

a little Lemon Shaving (Zest, if you’re fancy)

Lemon Juice

Dijon Mustard

Butter

1.)  mix the bread crumbs, thyme, garlic salt, zest, a drop of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoon of melted butter together in a bowl

2.) seasoned the salmon lightly with salt, pepper, and a couple drops of lemon juice then lightly brush the top of the fish with dijon mustard

3.) put the mix on top of the fish

4.) pan sear the fish for 3-5 min on medium

5.) put foil in the baking pan the coat it with a little vegetable oil and throw some onions in there too then put the lightly seared salmon on top

5.) toss it in the oven and bake on 350 for about 12 minutes – when you take it out the top should be brown not burnt

I would have posted a picture but  I ate it before I realized I forgot to take a picture. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. Hope you enjoyed this recipe. Next time I’ll make sure to write down the measurements in case its a masterpiece. That’s all for now. Let us know if you tried this recipe and what you think by using #WDKXrecipes on Twitter.
