Watch Out For SAT Phone Scam Say Gates Chili School District

The Gates Chili Central School District is warning students and parents of a phone scam. The district says the scammer contacted a member of the community, claiming a student took a practice SAT exam, and requested the parent’s credit card number to send the test results. The community is advised that Gates Chili nor SAT test organizations would request payment or financial details over the phone. They are hoping the community spreads the word about this scam. Anyone who receives a scam call is urged to hang up and contact the local authorities.
