Universal Music Group was sued by Tuff City Records for Mary J Blige’s 1992 classic song “Real Love”. Mary J Blige was not named in the lawsuit or accused of any wrongdoing.

The timeless song used a sample from the 1973 hit song “Impeach The President” by the Honey Drippers which had been sampled thousands of times before.
