Tyler Perry To Pay For Rayshard Brook’s Funeral

Tyler Perry is paying for the funeral of Rayshard Brooks. The Brooks Family Attorney L. Chris Stewart said in a press conference. “We want to thank and acknowledge Tyler Perry, who we spoke with, who will be taking care of the funeral for the family,” Stewart said. “It’s support like that and it’s people who are actually in this community — that love the community, that want healing and families like this to never have to go through something like this — to step forward.” 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by police after a call of a man asleep at the Wendy’s drive-thru. His death led to more protests in Atlanta. One officer Garrett Rolfe, was fired. Another officer Devin Brosnan, was placed on administrative duty and Police Chief Erika Shields resigned.
