Tyler Perry Launches Dream Collective for Emerging Filmmakers

Tyler Perry is launching the Dream Collective, a new initiative to support aspiring filmmakers from marginalized backgrounds. Beginning April 17, the multi-phase program will guide selected applicants through mentorship, virtual training, and hands-on film development. Five grand prize winners will receive $30,000 and a chance to produce their short films at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. Perry says the program is designed to give others the opportunities he once lacked, focusing on access, support, and storytelling.
