Trump Delivers Divisive American History Speech [VIDEO]

Most Americans can agree that the history that we learn in school does not reflect the entire story of America. There is a movement to change the curriculum in public schools to expose the darker side of our history.
Critical race theory is an educational framework around the idea that the United States is inextricable from slavery and racism, with their impacts still impacting black and brown people today.
In a speech at the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. President Trump reminded the audience that he signed an executive order forbidding critical race theory to be taught in any federal institution. So basically, he doesn’t think the children can handle the truth.
Listen to what he said:
“The left has warped, distorted and defiled the American story with deceptions, falsehoods and lies. There is no better example than The New York Times’ totally discredited 1619 Project,” he said. “This project rewrites American history to teach our children that we were founded on the principle of oppression, not freedom.”
I would LOVE to believe that freedom was at the core of the Black experience in America.
But the truth is, this country was built on the backs of slaves and even in 2020 we do not freely enjoy the fruits of our labor.
Pastor Carl Day asked a very good question: “When was America great for Black people?”
