Trump Announces Nomination For Vacant Supreme Court Seat

Written by on September 26, 2020

President Donald Trump has nominated conservative favorite Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s seat on the Supreme Court.

His plan is to announce the candidate today and try to rush a Senate confirmation before Election day to confirm the position. If he succeeds, the balance of the court would shift in the conservative direction for years to come.

The president has already met with Judge Barrett earlier this week and seems determined to move forward.
