Toyota Introducing Advanced Energy Solutions Research Facility To Monroe County

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is set to launch an advanced energy storage solutions development and test center in Henrietta, Monroe County. This initiative aims to bolster the ‘Finger Lakes Forward’ movement, which is focused on economic growth in the region. The new Toyota facility will enhance the company’s efforts in developing advanced energy solutions, including lithium-ion batteries and fuel cells. Brett Wood, President and CEO of Toyota, expressed pride in contributing to community growth and advancing sustainable technology innovation. The research center will foster collaboration with the Rochester area, leading to the creation of up to 40 new jobs and adding to the 2,560 Toyota employees already in the state. The facility will be located at 1565 Jefferson Road, with operations expected to commence this spring.
