Town of Perinton Gives Back to the Community

Written by on May 16, 2022

Earlier this year, residents at Pines of Perinton faced an impactful fire. Shortly after, a GoFundMe was set up that raised more than $38,000 for the residents, but now, town officials said there is more to be done. The Town of Perinton got together as a community to purchase things such as TVs, microwaves, mattresses and box springs, bed frames, pillows, sheets, blankets, groceries, etc. Town supervisor Ciaran Hanna stated: “I’ll say that the community was extraordinarily generous. It came in all different forms – it came in gift cards, and donated clothing, and toiletries, and cash.” All additional funds that were raised by the town were distributed to the residents of Pines of Perinton on a case-by-case basis, depending on how much they lost.
