The House Of Representatives Will Vote To Impeach Trump For Inciting Insurrection

Written by on January 13, 2021

Today, the House of Representatives will vote on whether or not to impeach President Trump for the second time in his term.

If the vote passes, it will be the first time in U.S. History that a president would have been impeached twice.

The House Democrats and several Republicans are expected to vote in favor of the resolution.

After last week’s riots in the U.S. Capitol, the president is being formally charged with “incitement of insurrection.”

If the impeachment passes in the House of Representatives, it will then go on to the Senate.

The Senate won’t be in session until one day before Joe Biden is sworn in, so it will be splitting its days so it can hold the impeachment trial at the same time.
