The FDA Recalls Two COVID-19 Testing Kits

The FDA has issued a warning and recalled two COVID-19 test kits. The US Food and Drug Administration recalled the two tests manufactured by Empowered Diagnostics.
The two tests recalled CovClear COVID-19 Antigen and ImmunoPass COVID-19 Neutralizing Antibody Rapid Test. The FDA recalled the tests because they have the potential for false results. This is a Class 1 recall which is the most serious typ of recall by the FDA.
If you used either one of these tests the FDA says to contact your primary care provider to see if you should be retested. If you have the CovClear or the ImmunoPass COVID-19 tests do not use.
The FDA is working with Empowered Diagnostics to resolve the problem.
