The 116th Congress Is Historic, This Is America

Childish Gambino’s song This Is America should be the theme song for the 116th Congress.
You can NOT tell me voting doesn’t make a difference after today.
This night is historically beautiful.
Nancy Pelosi, the first woman to become Speaker of The United States House of Representatives back in 2007, reclaimed her gavel as Speaker.
There are now more than 100 women in congress, and new generations of African-American’s, Muslims, Native-Americans, and Latinos making this 116th Congress the most diverse EVER.
A reflection of America today.
If you don’t think your vote matters, think again!
Watch the clip and look at the tweets… This Is America.

Meet the new freshmen in the United States Congress being sworn in today. It is the most racially diverse and most female group of representatives ever elected to the House. https://t.co/U9UtDBJ54t

Despite growing religious diversity, including the first two Muslim women to serve in the House of Representatives, Christians still dominate in Congress https://t.co/MIjeAwCHRh pic.twitter.com/DCtbPJtlq6
