SZA delves into what fans can expect from the deluxe version of her widely praised 2022 album, SOS. In a recent feature with Rolling Stone, the artist hailing from St. Louis reveals that Lana, named after a shortened version of her birth name Solána, emerged “in flowy and spontaneous bursts of creativity in between non-work hangs, and often at a distance.”
SZA emphasizes that this new rendition represents an “entire new body of work,” augmenting the original with 10 additional tracks. Rolling Stone mentions, “She cites Lil Uzi Vert’s LUV vs. the World 2 (2020), the deluxe version of his beloved Eternal Atake, as an example of what she’s thinking,”
Although Lana was initially slated for a fall release, it’s been postponed due to the pending release of the primary single, “DTM.”
