Summer Stroll organizers address lack of ‘Park Ave. Summer Arts Festival’

Organizers of the Park Avenue Summer Stroll in Rochester, New York, have responded to public concerns regarding the absence of the traditional Summer Arts Festival. The festival was discontinued before 2023 primarily due to financial challenges and the retirement of its key promoter in 2020. Feedback from festival-goers indicated that the event had shifted from its original focus on art and local business to becoming more of a large-scale party, which contributed to the decision to end it. In an effort to recapture the essence of the Summer Arts Festival, the organizers have introduced the Summer Stroll, a scaled-down version aimed at being more manageable and focused on the community’s artistic and business sectors. The event is scheduled for August 3, and potential art vendors have until May 14 to apply for participation.
