Summer School Might Be A Good Way To Make Up For Missed Class From The Pandemic

Educators and lawmakers have been throwing around ideas about how to make up for the educational gap that occurred during the first few months of lockdown.
Even though everyone quickly adapted to the online learning platform, there were growing pains that students and teachers felt regularly during the semesters that followed the pandemic.
By June, more teachers will be vaccinated and experts think that transmission rates will be lower than they are now.
President Joe Biden, backed by Gov. Gavin Newsom of California and Randi Weingarten, the powerful president of the American Federation of Teachers, is proposing a $29 billion bill that would fund summer programs as part of his pandemic stimulus package.
