State of Indiana now has Baby Drop Off Boxes

If you happen to be driving through the state of Indiana, you may want to check out one of the two baby drop off boxes recently implanted.  Yes you read that correctly, a baby drop off box; as in a box to drop off your unwanted baby.

The Hoosier state decided to implement these “Safe Haven Baby Boxes” after plans to defund Planned Parent Hood were mentioned.  You may recall Trump’s anti-abortion statement that was heard around the world, where he mentioned punishing women that decide to terminate their pregnancies.  Well, Indiana did not take Trump’s comments as an idle threat, and this is the basis for establishing the drop off boxes.

The name “Safe Haven” coincides with the nation’s “Safe Haven Law,” which allows women to abandon unwanted babies.  When the baby is placed inside the drop off a security sensor will notify personnel, and the baby will be retrieved for the box by a Safe Haven representative.

This is a very sensitive topic for many despite free will, but what are your thoughts?
