Starbucks Shuts Down in Russia
Written by Site Hub on May 24, 2022
After 15 years in business, Starbucks has officially announced its departure from Russia. The coffee chain originally shut down temporarily back in March over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Even though all 130 stores will be shut down, the company announced it will continue paying its nearly 2,000 employees in Russia for six months and help them find new jobs. Starbucks now joins McDonald’s as the second major chain to exit.
