Spot Coffee in Rochester Cited for 14 Health Violations

A popular coffee shop in Rochester, N.Y., Spot Coffee, was temporarily shut down last week due to health violations. A New York State inspection report highlighted 14 violations at the establishment, including one critical issue. The violations encompassed the presence of insects and rodents, the discovery of spoiled and unapproved foods, and inadequacies in kitchen cleanliness. Additionally, the shop’s bathrooms were found to be unsanitary. Spot Coffee has been prohibited from reopening until it passes a subsequent inspection. The management of Spot Coffee has acknowledged the issues and is currently collaborating with the Monroe County Health Department to rectify the situation and meet the required health standards.
