SpaceX Launch Scrapped Due To Inclement Weather
Written by Andre on May 29, 2020
The SpaceX rocket ship was supposed to launch this afternoon but could not because of the bad weather. Two NASA astronauts were onboard and the flight would of made history as it headed to the International Spaces Station. It would of been the first time a privately owned company like Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket ship sent humans into space.
This is also a new beginning in commercial spaceflight. The launch has been rescheduled for this Saturday so hopefully the weather is much better.
Astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken were onboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket ship and were to ride into orbit. The Falcon 9 was set to take off from the same launch pad as the Apollo moon missions.
The United States has not sent astronauts into space since 2011 from American soil. NASA uses Russian spaceships to launch astronauts to the space station from Kazakhstan. NASA retired it’s space shuttle fleet back in 2011.
