Soundwave Teases New Music from Kendrick Lamar for 2022

It’s a new year and it has now been almost five years since we were gifted Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN, and now, the Pulitzer Award-winner might be releasing music with hitmaker Soundwave. Soundwave- who is the beatmaker behind such classics as “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “King Kunta,” and “A.D.H.D.”, took to Instagram to share the plans for music in 2022:
While Soundwave didn’t explicitly say who he will be working with, many fans hope this means that songs will be on Kendrick Lamar’s as-yet-to-be revealed album. Other producers such as Kenny Beats, BADBADNOTGOOD, Boi-1da, and Terrace Martin, all commented to share their excitement as well, which alludes to Kendrick’s new music under Top Dawg Entertainment. Back in August, Kendrick spoke on working with TDE: “As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.”
