Simone Biles proved once again why she is the greatest gymnast of all time! Wearing a rhinestone goat on her back, she just won the U.S Classic in Indianapolis, her first meet since 2020. The 5 time gold medalist is no stranger to winning, it’s how she won that has other G.O.A.T.S like Lebron James in awe.

Biles landed a vault that no women, and very few men, have ever completed in competition, the Yurchenko double pike!!!! If she lands it again at the Tokyo Olympics, the trick will be renamed the Simone Biles Double Pike!!! (She already have 4 other tricks named after her).
According to the New York Times, this trick is “so perilous and challenging that no other woman has attempted it in competition, and it is unlikely that any woman in the world is even training to give it a try.”
Unfortunately, the judges refuse to give Simone any extra points for accomplishing the Impossible. Her execution of the Yurchenko double pike was given a provisional score of 6.6, similar to her scores for other vaults and without any acknowledgement of the difficulty of the move.
The rationale for undervaluing Biles greatness, according to MSN is that “there are safety risks for other gymnasts who aren’t able to complete the moves that Biles is, if her moves are rewarded with high scores and other gymnasts are then motivated to try them.”
Uh duh!!! That’s the point of competition Be the best and outshine the rest! If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Anyways, let’s watch that move one more time…
