Select New York State Movie Theaters Can Reopen October 23rd

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo gave an address on Saturday where he outlined some new reopening procedures that include movie theaters.

Theaters in New York State can be open at 25% capacity or 50 people per screen starting on October 23rd, as long as they are in areas that have a COVID-19 infection rate lower than 2% on a 14 day average.

Masks will be required at all times, unless seated and eating / drinking. Other regulations include assigned seating, social distancing, advanced air filtration and additional staffing.
