Reports say a Nigerian fraud ring stole millions of dollars in an unemployment benefits by using stolen identification and social security numbers from some Americans who haven’t lost their jobs.
Federal agents reported the states that were hit included Florida Massachusetts Wyoming North Carolina Oklahoma and Rhode Island.
The Department of Labor is being overwhelmed with unemployment claims which is the opportune time is for hackers to manipulate the system.
