Run-D.M.C. Headlines 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop Concert at Yankee Stadium

The 50th anniversary of hip-hop in the Bronx, New York will be celebrated with a concert headlined by Run-D.M.C. Hip Hop 50 Live at Yankee Stadium is scheduled for Friday, August 11. The event will showcase an impressive lineup of artists, including Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, Eve, Lil’ Kim, Remy Ma, Trina, Fat Joe, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Slick Rick, Lupe Fiasco, and more.

In addition to these performances, Hip Hop 50 will feature a special “Pillars of Hip-Hop” set, highlighting the genre’s founders. DJ Kool Herc, along with his sister Cindy Campbell, will be joined by Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, Roxanne Shanté, Scorpio, and the Sugar Hill Gang. The event will also include a segment dedicated to “Legendary DJs,” featuring Clark Kent, Marley Marl, Mannie Fresh, and Battlecat.
