Rochester’s First Service Truck Rodeo Happens Sunday
Written by Site Hub on October 2, 2022
Today, Sunday, October 2nd, the first-ever service truck rodeo is happening at St. Michael’s Church from 12 pm to 4 pm. Rochester Hope, a new organization, is putting on the event hoping to connect people in need with the services they need the most, featuring over 20 social service organizations.
Daniel Ruiz, volunteer director of Rochester Hope, stated: “We operate in the heart of Rochester’s Latino and Black communities, where people either don’t know about the services available or simply can’t afford the gas to drive to get to them. Our goal is to offer these Service Truck Rodeos on the first Sunday of each month, complementing the current charities we run such as Matthew’s Closet, the Sister Regis Food Cupboard, the community center at St. Michael’s, and others.”
