Rochester Reflection of 9/11: ‘Never forget’

Written by on September 11, 2021

Just 20 years ago today marks the infamous September 11th, 2001; a day we will ‘never forget.’ For some of us, 9/11 is just an awful memory. For those who were born after 2001, it’s a page in the history books. Moments after the first attack, so many responded to try to save lives, and later, it was to support recovery efforts. Many developed health issues, with some being fatal. 2,977 people died in the attack of 9/11.

If you have driven past the Monroe Community College’s Brighton campus this week, you can’t miss the American flags that dot the campus, nor the sign behinds that reads “Never Forget.” Many mourn and reflect in Rochester in remembrance of those who have passed.
