A Rochester man arrested for a double shooting in front of the RTS bus terminal was almost released from jail on a technicality.
The suspect’s lawyer argued he should be released because he didn’t get a hearing by a deadline.
The suspect was supposed to get his first hearing within 144 hours after being arrested; he remains in custody and a grand jury voted to indict him on charges.
