Written by on March 14, 2020

Rochester’s own rSPIRIT.online has been nominated for a Stellar Award for Best Internet Radio Station. The winner of this national award will be announced on March 27 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

With its tagline of “The Spirit of Rochester, Buffalo, & Syracuse,” the gospel station airs 21 shows each week during its 24-hour round-the-clock broadcast. The station’s lineup includes “Urban Fire,” “Church Talk,” “Your Best You,” and “Jazz at Night.”

James R. Cooper is rSPIRIT’s General Manager and pastor of Love Fellowship Worship Center, which he founded in 2011. Before Cooper began working full-time as pastor in Rochester, he spent 27 years working for the Xerox Corporation, moving up the ladder to Vice President.

Any Rochesterians who want to attend the Stellar Awards festivities will have lots of events to choose from. Although the awards ceremony will be taped on Friday, March 27, there are many pre-show events on March 26. As noted on TheStellarAwards.com, the Stellar Gospel Radio Awards & Showcase will be held on Thursday, March 26. This event will honor the top radio stations and radio announcers that serve urban gospel music audiences. Also on Thursday, the Stellar Gospel Music Awards Pre-Show will feature the non-televised award winners.
