Rochester Designated 2020 All-American City

Written by on August 27, 2020

Rochester is now a three time winner of the All-American City Award.

The National Civic League held a virtual competition that used metrics like civic engagement, collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation to successfully address local issues and determined that the City of Rochester embodies these characteristics.

Doug Linkhart, president of the National Civic League made a statement, saying:

We are happy to designate Rochester as an All-America City. They showed us through their application and presentation that they do a great job of engaging the whole city in enhancing health and well-being.”

Mayor Lovely Warren responded:

“We are extremely fortunate to live in a community that consistently works together for the greater good of all of our residents. I want to especially thank everyone who worked so hard on this presentation and represented our community so beautifully. Thank you for sharing with other cities what we’ve known for a long time – – that Rochester is a great place to live and raise a family.”
