Road Closure Begins April 14 for Four-Month Bridge Replacement Project in Fairport

In the village of Fairport, a little-known bridge built in 1934 over Thomas Creek on Main Street is set for replacement, as it has been identified as one of the worst bridges in Monroe County, according to Mayor Julie Domaratz. Starting April 14, the section of road will be closed for four months to allow the New York State Department of Transportation to carry out the replacement project.
