Restrictions Eased for Special Education Classes In New York
Written by Site Hub on June 7, 2020
Governor Andrew Cuomo has confirmed that special education programs will have in-school classes this summer. He recently signed an executive order easing restrictions on these types of courses. Schools that are participating in this type of program will still be required to follow state and federal guidelines.
There is still no word on whether or not schools will be re-opening fully in the fall. Some experts think they may partially re-open and keep using online classes but there have been no official statements from the Governor’s office.
Data shows that the coronavirus is at its lowest level since March and regular things like Summer day camps and libraries are being reopened little by little. Hopefully things will return to normal soon.
