Reign Review: Verzuz Femme It Forward With Jill Scott vs Erykah Badu

Miss Jill Scott and Erykah Badu gave us an unforgettable experience with Verzuz – Femme It Forward. The two beautiful Queens shared their music and stories behind the music. Yes, this was a music battle because of Verzuz but it so much more than that!

It was about the appreciation Jill and Erykah have for each others body of work. For us it was an experience full of healing, love, and nurturing for everyone that was there.

Speaking of being there, First Lady Michelle Obama, Adele, Estelle, Yasin Bey (Mos Def), and many others were in attendance. We all danced and sang along with Erykah and Jill as they played their music. To describe how magical it was is not easy to put into words it’s really something you had to experience for yourself to fully understand.

Whew! A few times I teared up from the pure joy and gratitude I felt in that moment of greatness. It was magical.

Jill Scott & Erykah Badu Verzuz was the first time women were featured on the live stream. Verzuz was created and is ran by music producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland. Out of all of the Verzuz battles this far this one was was the BEST!
