Regular Visitation Suspended At All Rochester Regional Health Hospitals

Rochester Regional Health suspended visitation to all hospitals in the Finger Lakes region because of the increase in COVID-19 cases. The suspension in visitations began on Sunday.

Rochester Regional Health (Rochester General Hospital), Unity Hospital in Greece, UMMC in Batavia, Genesee County, and Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic in Clifton Springs. Also, Ontario County are all suspending visitation starting on Sunday.

Some visitors will be allowed under the following exceptions.

  • Pediatric patients will be able to have one support person at a time. Two support people can alternate visitation.
  • Obstetrical patients may have one support person and a doula.
  • Patients that have conditions that are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act may have one support person who is medically necessary for their care. Two support people can alternate visitation.
  • End of life patients. Two people can be at their bedside as long as social distancing is maintained.

All visitors that will be allowed must have their temperature checked before entering the hospital and then every 12 hours after once they are inside.

Any visitor showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter the hospital.
