RCSD Reopening Plan Explained
Written by Site Hub on July 31, 2020
At last night’s meeting Rochester City School District Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small explained the proposed hybrid model plan for reopening schools. Grades five through twelve will be remote; pre-K through fouth grade will split into two groups and one group having in-person lessons on Mondays and Tuesday, and the second group having in-person lessons on Thursdays and Fridays. On the days kids aren’t scheduled to come into the school building lessons would be remote.
Additionally, parents are able to choose to do a fully remote option as long as they notify the district by Friday, August 14th.
The Rochester Teachers Association is advocating for a fully remote learning approach until November 16th, 2020.
