R. Kelly Scheduled to be Moved to NY for Sex Trafficking Trial

On April 15th, a judge gave the ok for R. Kelly to transfer to NY. He was previously jailed in Chicago. This case has faced many delays. He was held in Chicago for 21 charges of child pornography.
CNN said, “The trial in Brooklyn federal court had been put off because of the coronavirus pandemic. During a virtual hearing, according to ABC News, U.S. District Judge Ann Donnelly told lawyers that there are courthouse protections that allow the trial to begin on August 9.”
