R.I.P. 41 – The end of Civility and Discourse

Written by on December 2, 2018

The death of a president is viewed via the lens of an individual.  I did not realize what  President George H. W. Bush meant to me until I put it into context of what we are living today.
41, served as the youngest aviator in the United States Navy during the Second World War. He entered  American politics as a Congressman from Texas, then  envoy to China, he was also  Director of Central Intelligence, Vice President eight years to President Ronald Reagan, and finally President of the United States.  What a resume.  What a life and not to minimize his commitment to his family and 73 years of marriage, I just wonder how the view of presidents has shifted in such a short period of time.
I will remember more than read my lips and the legacy, but knowing a gentleman  can win. Rest in peace and thank you for your service and sense of humor:
