A German man accidentally caused a police chase after he put his Tesla car on autopilot and then took a nap.
Police were trying to pull the car for a traffic stop when they noticed the man was asleep behind the wheel with his seat reclined back while the autopilot was activated.
The pursuit lasted for about 15 minutes on a main road.
After police were able to pull the car over they found a device that tricks the car safety system to think the driver’s hands are on the steering wheel.
