Pfizer Vaccine is ‘100% Effective’ for Adolescents

On Wednesday, Pfizer announced that in a new clinical trial their vaccine was 100 percent effective in ages 12 to 15, which included 2,260 participants. Pfizer plans to release their data ‘as soon as possible’ to the FDA as they prepare to expand the age range of COVID vaccinations.
In regards to side effects, Pfizer stated that the vaccine was tolerated well in late stage operations. Pfizer and BioNTech (the company they are partnered with) plan to continue trials in patients as young as 6 months old. Currently, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is only approved for those who are 16 and older.
