At 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, RPD responded to a report of a break in at a local business, Nick Tahou Hots, by an unidentified male. Surveillance photos show the unidentified man arriving at the back door of the business on West Main Street on his bike, and can be seen in other photos searching under the front counters.
Arrived on bike. Broke in. Found nothing he liked and left. RPD @ROCLocustClub officers stayed on the phone and helped temporarily secure the building before we could arrive to make temp repairs. pic.twitter.com/OgwAYME7Vu

Owner Alex Tahou says nothing was stolen from the property; “The most they could’ve gotten is lunch. This guy never got that far. He never left the two front counters.” The break-in was minor for the business, but it will be closed until Tuesday to repair the doors. The owner continued his statement, saying; “Our biggest problem is there’s no downtown workers anymore and our business has struck a couple people a day. I don’t see them coming back to work downtown. That’s a big part of the pandemic for us.”
