Written by on October 8, 2021

Yesterday, Rochester’s Open Door Mission broke ground at its Miller building on W. Main St, where the building has been owned by the Mission for 20 years, but it has been used for storage. Now, the building will be renovated to create 24 permanent supportive apartments. Anna Valeria-Iseman, the executive director of Open Door Mission, was joined by local elected officials and representatives from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance to help break ground on the new project. Open Door Mission spoke out on this groundbreaking project, stating that this was made possible with a grant from New York State Homeless Housing Assistance Program.
