One Of The Biggest Weekends For Movies And Television Avengers: Endgame & Game Of Thrones
Written by Andre on April 29, 2019
Between the Avengers: Endgame and Game Of Thrones episode 2 this weekend was historic for tv and movies. There won’t be too many spoilers here so if haven’t watched it’s suggested that you stop reading now and go see Endgame or watch Game Of Thrones they are the best ever.
Okay, so Friday I went to see Avengers: Endgame and it was everything I wanted it to be plus more. I knew it would be emotional especially if you have been following Marvel Universe movies from day one.
Full disclosure I wasn’t ready for Ironman to leave or Black Widow but I understand that’s how it had to be there was only one way to win. I’m holding back tears now just thinking about it. The journey was an amazing one so a huge THANK YOU to Stan Lee is in order and EVERYONE that makes Marvel Universe what it is – amazing!
Oh! And everyone is back yay!!
Before we move on to GOT I have to ask what are your thoughts on Captain America??
I will say this for now, very interesting!
We can discuss more on the Avengers: Endgame on the WDKX Wake Up Club Monday morning!
Now for Game Of Thrones….
Didn’t see Arya coming but damn that was freaking brilliant!!
This episode will go down in history as the best episode and battle EVER!
If you read my last blog about GOT and how they are referencing back to prior seasons they did it again in this episode. There was a moment when Arya, the Hound, and Melisandre were stuck in a room and Melisandre told Arya back in season 3.. you will shut many eyes, including blue eyes. I don’t think anyone realized up until that moment what that meant. Again, freaking brilliant!
By the way I watched the end like 4 times last night lol.
Theon redeemed himself finally which was dope. The loss of Jorah hit me hard especially the scene with Daenerys holding him and the last dragon coming down next to her.
Did anyone think Daenerys was going to die too??
Another sidebar: I had to pause the show a couple of times to take a break it was so intense. One of best battles ever on television – HBO you did very well!
One last thing what was so good about this battle is it was real, meaning they planned and strategized but everything they did went wrong or didn’t work then Arya comes through in the clutch!
We will have to wait to see who else survived so cheers to a loooooong week.
Best lines
Melisandre: “What do we say to the god of death?”
Arya: “Not today”
