Offset ‘Hated’ ‘Ric Flair Drip’ Before Metro Boomin Put It Out

Sometimes you don’t like everything you do, and that’s the case for Offset and one of his biggest hits; “Ric Flair Drip” with Metro Boomin.
During an interview with Billboard’s Carl Lamarre on The Debut Live podcast, Offset stated: “I hated the song. It was a West Coast beat — I’m not saying nothing like that — but it was, like, during this time it’s 2017… When I did it, I didn’t take it serious.”
He then said that it was Metro Boomin who convinced him that the song would be a smash. Offset stated: “I’m like, ‘Bruh, don’t put this song on the album. He put it on the album…I’ll never forget, like three days later, we [were] No. 1 on Apple, and he [was] like, ‘I told you…”
