New York State Police are now recruiting people to take the state trooper exam.
The application process involves an entrance exam, a physical ability test, a psychological exam, a hearing and vision requirements, a background investigation and another medical exam. The trainee then spends six months at the police academy.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and the ages between 20 and 34 with a high school diploma.
