NYS Launches New Teacher Recruitment Initiative

A new digital teacher recruitment initiative was launched by the New York State Education Department and TEACH. TeachNY.org will offer prospective teachers an opportunity to explore the profession, access free resources, get straightforward information, and receive support in applying to educator programs statewide. The website offers one-on-one and group advising from state teachers and certification experts, a database of scholarships and funding for future teachers, a search tool to find state teaching programs, reimbursements for application and testing fees, prep for teaching tests, and email encouragement and reminders.
